Weaving together punk, lo-fi indie, folk, and alternative influences, the Philadelphia-based quartet Cowboy Cowboy crafts a captivating and Americana-inspired world of outlaws, romance, destiny, heartbreak, and tales from the West. The band is composed of energetic frontman Joe “Pops Tuna” Mayo who’s singing and guitar playing will send shivers down and right back up your spine. On lead guitar, synth and all things avante-garde, his twin brother, the King of Cool, Chris “Jaces Phantasm” Mayo. On the bass is the rumblin’ and tumblin’ punk icon Josh “Friend” Turner. And finally holding it together on the drums is Collegeville’s very own Drew “The Glue” O’Connor. Cowboy Cowboy is one of the bands from the larger group called the Tuna Collective, a group of musicians dedicated to supporting and uplifting other aspiring artists in the Philadelphia Music Scene.
